Miami Beach, Florida, USA – The 10th edition of Art Basel Miami Beach closed on Sunday, December 4, 2011, with many galleries reporting strong sales. More than 260 leading galleries from 30 countries across North America, Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa exhibited works by over 2,000 artists of the 20th and 21st centuries.

This year's Art Film, selected again by Zurich film connoisseur This Brunner, will be the United States premiere of 'Gerhard Richter Painting' by Corinna Belz.

For the 10th edition of Art Basel Miami Beach, the Art Video program will be presented for the first time in SoundScape Park on the 7,000-square-foot outdoor projection wall of the New World Center, as well as within five viewing pods inside the Miami Beach Convention Center.

This year's Art Basel Conversations and Art Salon series will again feature premier panellists including artists Tracey Emin, Liam Gillick, Emilia and Ilya Kabakov, Gabriel Orozco, and Erwin Wurm, as well as leading collectors, museum directors, curators, academics and many other cultural players.

For the 10th edition of Art Basel Miami Beach, the show will collaborate with the Bass Museum of Art on the Art Public sector, which will transform Collins Park with a record number of public art works.

For this year’s edition of Art Kabinett, the Selection Committee has chosen 30 galleries, more than ever before, to present tightly focused exhibitions within Art Basel Miami Beach.

Art Positions creates a platform for a single project from one artist, allowing curators, critics and collectors to discover ambitious new talents at Art Basel Miami Beach.

The Art Nova sector is a platform where emerging and established galleries present new or recent work by either two or three artists at Art Basel Miami Beach. This year, 42 international galleries have been chosen by the Selection Committee for the sector, and works by 105 artists from around the globe will be on display.
