The gallery, founded by Ruth Benzacar in 1965, is devoted to contemporary art. Orly Benzacar is its current director.
The space has two exhibition rooms where two - individual or group - shows take place simultaneously.
The exhibition program - which is focused mainly on Argentine artists - includes international shows organized directly with the artists or in collaboration with other galleries.
The gallery participates in various international fairs such as ARCO (Madrid), Art Basel Miami Beach, and ArteBA (Buenos Aires).
Every year we have a contest named Curriculum O for young emerging artists (aged 15 to 30). At the end of the year we have a group exhibition - with a selection - and an individual exhibition featuring the previous year's winner.
In recognition of our international trajectory, in 1991 we were selected as one of the two hundred best galleries in the world (The World's 200 best Contemporary Art Galleries, Media Market Editions, France). |
